The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Saturday took a pound of flesh on South Africa female National team, Bayana Bayana.

Nigeria defeated South Africa 4 – 3 on penalty to retain AWCON 9th title after goalless draw in 120 mins.

While Super Falcons struggled to hold their opponents, the Lionesses of Cameroon in the semi-final, and the match decided by penalty kick, the South Africans beat Mali within regulation time.

The Super Falcons on the final day played a goalless draw after 120 minutes which takes proceeding to another penalty shootout.

The match which could ended at regulation time if Asisat Oshoala hasn’t missed a spot kick late in the regulation eventually ended 4 – 3 in favour of the Nigeria ladies.
