Besides Music and Radio Presentation, Yinka Ayefele Reveals His Other Talents
Yinka Ayefele has revealed that he is not just a musician and a radio presenter but he is blessed with other talents.
Ayefele, who is now a highly sought-after musician, said he dumped his quest to become a banker when he couldn’t get a job.
Ayefele who described himself as a total entertainer, said, “I play music, I talk on the radio and I make people laugh.”
Before the accident that confined him in a wheelchair, he revealed that he was also a comedian.
He said, “I did a bit of comedy in the past and I have also acted before. But I don’t have the time to do other things anymore. Managing a radio station takes a lot of time and I still do music too, which is equally demanding. So, how do you expect me to find time to act? Don’t forget that I have to go to locations regularly.”
According to the Juju artiste: “Growing up, I loved music but I didn’t know it would become my profession. My late father wanted me to be a banker and I worked towards it too. After my degree, my brothers made efforts to get me a job at the cooperative banks but nothing worked out.
My life changed a day we went to a Christmas event at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria. They found out that I had a good voice, and immediately, they gave me some programmes to handle.”
Ayefele, however, maintained that he had no regrets venturing into music because it was the will of God for him.
He stated, “I am fulfilled. I have to be grateful to God. I have made an impact in the society and I can see it. When I see people playing like Ayefele, I feel happy. Even if I am no more today, I am fulfilled and people will still play my kind of music.”
