Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has been accused of slapping a Dana Air staff at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Monday, August 27.
Iyke was allegedly arrested after he was said to have assaulted the staff of one of the airlines domiciled at the airport. The actor during a security check, slapped a Dana staff, identified only as Suleiman after he arrived for a flight.
As a result of the altercation, management of the airline immediately alerted airport police and Iyke was whisked away. Watch a video of the incident below:
Kingsley Ezenwa, Dana Air’s Media and Communications Manager, who confirmed the incident, said Iyke was released after he apologised to the airline employee.
Ezenwa added that the actor eventually missed the flight, which was still on ground when the incident happened. Although, eventually boarded another Dana airline flight to Abuja this evening.
You can recall that the Nollywood actor, recently, said he no longer features in many films these days because movie producers can no longer afford his fees.The Nollywood lover boy told Netng on Friday that he always interpreted his roles professionally and would still act if he got the right pay.
“I have not been away, it is the producers who cannot afford me. So, I know my worth. But I have been busy creating opportunities and jobs for Nigerian youths so that we all can live better lives,” he said.
The actor also revealed that his team recently created an App that makes it easy to find quality service providers and job recruiters.The 41-year-old actor began acting in 2001. He is said to be one of the highest paid actors in Nollywood and has appeared in over 150 films.
